Martin Kazanietz was born in 1985 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His work until now has been almost exclusively dedicated to explore amateur fútbol culture, and how this can work as a critique to industrialized modern sport. These are simple images, yet direct, with a subtle humor. Martin studied graphic design at UBA (Buenos Aires University) and had a brief period as a student of artist Diana Aisenberg, but his real formation as a painter comes from the street. Some years painting graffiti led him to try other kind of public space interventions. He worked as an assistant for local muralists and ended up painting murals in small fields like San Telmo in humble neighborhood of Isla Maciel, to the mythic Bombonera (Boca Juniors Stadium). He also worked as an illustrator for the best fútbol culture mediums like So Foot, Orsai, Pickles Magazine, Patterns of Play, Victory Journal, Mundial Mag, and Copa 90.
